Kailali District with Dhangadhi as its district headquarters is located in the Far-West Development Region ( Seti Zone). It’s one among the District located in Terai of Seti Zone which is known for its own natural beauty, biodiversity, and cultural importance. It Covers a part of 3,235 sq. km and contains a population (2011) of 775,709 which is bordered by Bardiya and Surkhet in East, Kanchanpur in West, Doti, and Dadeldhura in North and India In the south. Though it’s a district located in Terai but around forty percent of this District is settled in the cragged region. Dhangadhi is a center of attraction of not only Kailali district but of the entire Seti zone. The district additionally contains Tikapur Park, one amongst the biggest parks in Nepal, and Godha-Ghodi Tal (lake) situated at Sukhad Kailali.

 

We can reach to Kailali via Plane from kathmandu. Kailali District is the entrance gate for Far West Development Region. It is approximately seven hundred kilometer away from Kathmandu.And we can travel to this place via bus in one day.

Beautiful green forest, attractive rivers and parks and its own Cultural importance makes this district best for traveling. Around sixty four percent of this district is covered by green forest.Karnali Bridge,Tikapur Park, Karnali river, Pathariya river and the beautiful Dolphin in there,Puraina Lake, Ghoda Ghodi Lake are other attraction of this district.Good Facility of Transportation, Hotel and Lodge makes it easy to visit this place.
